HC Portes du Soleil

The Hockey Club Portes du Soleil (HC PDS) is an important player in the Dents du Midi region. Founded in 1999 through the merger of HC Champéry and CP Val-d'Illiez, it continues the tradition started in 1925 with the founding of the first hockey club in Valais, the Hockey-Club de Champéry.

Currently competing in the 3rd league of the Swiss championship, HC PDS focuses on developing young talent and works closely with the Monthey-Chablais Hockey Club (2nd league). Together, they provide U20 players with a pathway to a higher regional level.

The commitment of its members, and the involvement of a dynamic committee that has overcome challenges and strengthened the institution over the years, have allowed the club to grow and reinvent itself. In 2025, HC PDS will celebrate the centenary of hockey in Champéry, a milestone event highlighting its heritage and role in the development of hockey in Valais.
